  • Hats, visors, bandanas, hoodies and sunglasses are not permitted.
  • Jewelry ‐ one earring per ear is permitted for boys or girls.  Earrings cannot hang longer than one inch below the ear lobe.
  • Tattoos or facial piercings need to be removed or covered.
  • Shoes with wheels are not allowed.
  • Bracelets (bangles), watches, chains, rings, chokers or necklaces should not be distracting or overly chunky.

Dress should allow students to participate comfortably in a variety of physical and outdoor activities. Clothing should cover body adequately and should not be distracting or ill fitting. Students who come to school inappropriately dressed will need to contact their parent/s. It is our expectation that a proper change of clothing will be provided if requested.

The dress code policy will be enforced for all students in grade levels kindergarten through sixth. The following procedure will be used for dress code violations:

  • 1st Offense ‐ Verbal warning and written communication with parent or guardian.
  • 2nd Offense ‐ Parent/guardian will bring a change of clothing by no later than 12:00 noon. If a change of clothing does not arrive by this time, the child will receive a one-day suspension without further notice.
  • 3rd Offense ‐ Child receives a one-day suspension for the next school day.

Students should be neat, clean, and presentable for school. Clothing is to be a proper fit for the child and must be properly worn (i.e. regular floor length pants, worn at waist level and not excessively baggy). Clothing is to be clean, without holes, and in good condition. Shoes must be worn at all times. Buttons, patches, pins, or other accessories that are considered offensive and disruptive (sexually suggestive, profane, obscene, tobacco or alcohol advertisements, etc.) are not permitted. Sunglasses, hats, coats, and jackets may be worn outdoors only. Parents are urged to see that their children are properly dressed for inclement or cold weather. Students do not go outdoors if the temperature is below 20 degrees Fahrenheit (wind chill factor).

Social Media Privacy Guide

Social networking means opening up and sharing information online with others, but it’s important that children and parents alike use high security settings to ensure that only approved friends are seeing their information. Our Social Media Privacy Guide helps you and your children select the highest security settings so that only approved friends can access your information.

We take cyberbullying very seriously. It is our goal to educate all of our school families about internet and social media safety. If you suspect that your child may be experiencing cyberbullying, please contact your school administration immediately.

Supply Lists

School Supply List

At Macomb Montessori Academy, we know that one of the biggest obstacles between a child and their education is not having the supplies they need to do their work.  Below you will find a list of supplies for each grade. Please keep in mind that unless otherwise noted, these are community supplies, so no individual pencil cases are needed.  Also, please be sure to label your child’s individual use items with their name.
