Here at Macomb Montessori Academy, we could hardly await the start of another exciting year with our families and students. With last year’s circumstances regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, it was a breath of fresh air to continue with our normal in-person learning environment. We held several events, all of which got us off to a fantastic start, the momentum of which we hope to carry through the rest of the school year.
The first of those events would of course be our first day on Sept. 7th. We had an amazing turn-out and it was so great to connect with old friends and continue to make new ones.
Just a few days later we begun a bagel sale which will continue every Thursday, the proceeds of which ensure that every day at MMA is better than the last.
Another fantastic event held this month was the Goodies with Grandparents event in which we sent students home with special care packages designed to reflect the special role that grandparents play with out students. We wanted to show appreciation to the families that support our students, and we were able to in a profound way.
The last of our events in the month was our ice cream social after school, we were able to connect with our sister school, Second Home Child Development Center to provide ice cream to family, friends, and staff that are as excited for the upcoming school year as we are.
In conclusion, September was a fantastic month with plenty for our students to participate in, and we hope to continue this trend in to what promises to be another stellar year at MMA.
