Happy Principal Appreciation Month!

Today we celebrate Cheryl Paull, principal at Macomb Montessori Academy, and Michelle Nighbert, Director of Second Home Child Development Center and Vice Principal of Macomb Montessori Academy.

“One in the same with a different name” is how Mrs. Nighbert and Ms. Paull like to describe their conjoining school. Their amazing leadership has provided an environment where students thrive and where education is held to the highest standard.

Ms. Paull obtained her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and two master’s degrees from Marygrove College. She has spent the last eleven years in education and is in her second year at MMA. She commented that the most rewarding part of the MMA community is that they are a family. She loves that she can have an impact on students’ lives and enjoys being part of their growth and development.

Mrs. Nighbert obtained her bachelor’s degree from Baker College and a master’s degree from Concordia University. She has spent the last sixteen years in education and has been at SHCDC for the past five years. The most rewarding part for Mrs. Nighbert is that she gets to plant the seed for students to be lifelong learners. She also loves to build relationships with families.

We are grateful for their service and commitment to MMA and SHCDC. We are lucky to have their leadership!
