Principal Appreciation Month at Macomb Montessori Academy

October is Principal Appreciation Month and at (School) we couldn’t be more excited to highlight our hardworking and dedicated administration for all that they do. We take pride in providing both a unique and wholesome education, and that starts with our leadership. We want to take this opportunity to celebrate our leadership and explain what makes them such an important piece of our community.

This month we would like to celebrate our head of school, Shanina Draughn. Mrs. Shanina has over fifteen years of experience developing and implementing creative, diverse, and positive programs in educational and community settings. Having served as a Lead Dean of Operations and Culture for multiple campuses, and Middle School Principal, at a local charter school, she believes that students and staff must embrace an opportunity to grow together and overcome challenges to gain success. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Human Services, specializing in Counseling Studies and Educational Leadership. Mrs. Shanina’s commitment to student growth and development is unparalleled.

Our leader will always be a fundamental part of our school community, and we can’t thank her enough for her compassion, dedication and hard work. She serves as the backbone of our school, the one inspiring change, and the mentor who shape our youth’s future. While this month may mark the official celebration, every day is an opportunity to recognize and support these outstanding individuals.
